Bulgaria was the first European country to become a feudal state.
The history of Bulgaria can be drawn from the first establishments in the areas of contemporary Bulgaria to its establishment as a nation-state and encompasses the account of the Bulgarian forms and their influence. Feudalism was a continuation of constitutional and military employment in old-fashioned Europe which prospered within the 9th and 15th centuries. Broadly established, it was a process of structuring population around associations obtained from the holding of property in negotiation for assistance or labor.
