The Red Scare caused a very large variety of events. To list a few would be Senator from Wisconsin Joe McCarthy would persecute people for being a possible "communist" when in reality none of the people he persecuted were really communist. Another result of the Red Scare would be the creation of HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee) which was put in place to investigate the House of Representatives to find communists.
