We use inferential statistics to infer the population from the sample data. The entire math course is a sample, part of the population (the school). Therefore, using the grades to find the average math grade for everyone in your school who's taken the same math course is inferential statistics. The first choice is not inferential because you can find out the exact average in your class. Another school is out of the population, your school.
