To calculate the area of a rectangle, you have to multiply the length by the width. The formula is A = L x W. A is area, L is length and W is width. Replacing the formula with the given -
A = 7xy^2 x 8x^2y;
   = 56X^3y^3
Therefore, the area of the rectangle is
56X^3y^3 inches^2 (square inches)
