Number of independent trials, n = 30
Expected successes, k = 1
Probability of success, p = 0.25

Probability of failure, q = 1-p = 0.75
The theoretical expected value is
[tex]_{30}C_{1} p^{1} q^{30-1} = 30 (0.25)(0.75^{29})=0.0018[/tex]

The answer is 0.0018.

Answer:  0.0  (to 1 dec. place)
