I = 5x/100

I = (48000 - 6x)/100 
But the combined interst is 438 so we have 
5x/100 + (48, 000 - 6x)/100 = 438 
Multiply through by 100 
5x + 48, 000 - 6x = 43800 
-x = 43800 - 48, 000 
-x = -4200
