Hitler was making conquests and trying to extend his reach as far as possible. Other countries unknowingly gave him support by not directly opposing all of his actions. This type of appeasement made it so Hitler had less opposition from outside influences and as more of his actions received support and less resistance, so did his desire to grow the Third Reich.
