An atlas is a geographic book that consists of a detailed study of all the maps of the earth in one place and is thus is called an atlas as its a collection of the important features of the earth in on the compiled form.
It even consists of the information of the universe or the cosmos, the solar system and acts as a data book of the earth and has all resources and maps needed for guidance and acknowledging the person.
