= ( ∑ xi )/ n
this means that
E(cx)
= ( ∑ cxi )/ n
= ( c ∑ xi )/ n [ by taking out the common factor c]
= c ( ∑ xi )/ n
= c E(x)
Conclusion: proved E(cx)=cE(x)
