i belive it is D wind forces

Wind forces directly cause surface currents.

Further Explanations:

Wind is the course of air on the Earth’s exterior in the form of immense air movement on a large scale. In accordance with weather casting, wind is mentioned as per its power and direction. A spurt of high-speed wind is named gusts while having excessive strength is called storm. This air movement is now and then referred to as “wind current”. The currents move from the regions to region, usually from areas of high pressure towards the low pressure.

The reason for the institution of the high-pressure region to the region of low-pressure is the unevenness in the distribution of sunlight on Earth and then the making variable warmth zones. Wind on moving from one zone to another creates a frictional force on the surface of the water and forces it to moves in the same course. This results in “high tide” and “low tide”.
