The survey had a sample and response bias. The survey only randomly selected sophomore students, when it needed to be a thorough survey of children in the LA school district, so the sample size is neither large enough or relevant. Secondly, because the survey was administered by the parents of the students, the students surveyed will be more likely to over-report their activity level.
