Turkeys do not drown because of the rain. Although
there are a lot of statements mentioning that Turkeys tend to look up at the
sky to watch the rain until they die, these sayings are not enough to make it a
fact. The idea of Turkeys watching up the sky to look at the rain is nullified because
Turkeys have monocular vision; this means that Turkeys have no ability to focus
on the same image at a time. On some occasions though, Turkeys tend to tilt
their heads towards the sky and remain like that for a moment, but this is not because
they are dense creatures, this is because of their inherited condition called tetanic torticollar spasms.
