I would personally drink a hot beverage from a ceramic cup than a metal cup for various reasons.
Firstly, ceramic cups do not change the taste of the beverage, while in some cases, metal cups do.
Secondly, since metal conducts heat, it would be wise to drink a hot beverage from a ceramic cup. Heated metal can burn your fingers if touched.
