10 tens is the same as one hundred. So, one hundred and seven tens = seventeen tens. 10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10= 100 10+10+10+10+10+10+10=70 Same thing.

170≠100(70)
170≠7000
If you meant 1 hundred PLUS 7 tens, then yes, it is equal.
