First of all percentages are expressing something as a part in 100parts.
This means if there is 25% blue paint in red paint there are 25 blue paints for every 100 Green paint.
So to find the percent of two numbers you have to divide them and then multiply by a 100.
So let’s say we have to find the percent of 4/5.
We have to divide 4/5 and then multiply by 100.
4/5 is 0.8 right?
And then multipleng by a 100 gets us 80.
So 4/5 is 80%
