This situation can be modeled by the equation 8.25x + 6.5y = 2145 where x represents the number of adult meals sold and y represents the number of child meals sold.

To find the domain you need to find the maximum and minimum possible x values. X represents the amount of adult meals, so the minimum must be zero. After all, you can have a negative amount of meals! The maximum would occur when all the meals were adult meals. The total sum was $2145. So the max can be calculated by 2145/8.25, or a max of 260 adults.

Same thing for range and the y values.
2145/6.50 = 330 max child meals.

*should be whole numbers - not many places sell half meals.
