Discuss how the gradualist model of evolution differs from the punctuated equilibrium model of evolution

Gradualism is something as the name suggests a process that happens with time. So the it is the process through which one species turns in to other or a new species whereas punctuated equilibrium is the model of evolution which is more abrupt and more sudden. The changes within the species happen more when unexpected in the punctuated process.
