Du Bois was an Activist, who fought for civil rights. He was a member of the National Asociation for advocacy of colored people ( NAACP). And he supported the idea of giving Classical Education to the colored people so they could become respected lawyers, doctors, etc. Booker Washington believed that simple education, hard work, and basic job skills would make the place for the colored people. This is where their views clashed. Booker Washington was a person that believed in staying patient and slowly changing the society over time but introducing colored people to doing basic jobs and just letting society change peacefully whereas Du Bois was on the Aggressive side. He was an Activist and fought for civil rights, he had a strong abolitionist spirit and was unhappy with the slow progress towards equality.

Hope this helps! Have a great day!
