Populists VS Progressives their Similarities are both Interested in the economic & Both 3rd party efforts die out- absorbed by mainstream Democratic and Republicans. Yet ideas influence political dialogue for decades, political power of the common man, not elites, Believed gov't could work for the people, Broad, direct access to political power by average people would make America stronger.
Both movements sought reform in government and big business.
