all 3rd degree polynomials have to have three roots. complex Roots always come in conjugate pairs. since we are given two Roots we do not have enough room to have two complex roots so the roots have to be real numbers. since our
polynomial has to have three roots then one of -3 or 2 has to be a double root
expand (x+3)²(x-2) to find one polynomial. expand (x+3)(x-2)² to get the other. there are only 2 possible polynomial d.
