When someone shares a determination about what they believe or how they feel about a particular issue, they are stating their OPINION
An opinion is a non-conclusive judgment, view point or statement. It is a though in one’s mind. There is no false or true opinion since it is based on experienced or assumption, findings which could emanates from an analysis or findings.
Opinion if proven or confirmed can become a fact. However, there are types of public and can be classified into public opinion, group opinion and scientific opinion.
- Public opinion has to do with the views, desires and thinking of the people. The general view of the people towards a particular situation either in a state or a society is referred to as public opinion.
- Group opinion relates to collection of opinions from a group of subjects such as member of a jury, parliaments or boards. In these case, researchers have interest in questions that are related to choice or group polarization
- Scientific opinion deals with opinions on science issues raised by one or several researchers in a published articles that need professional editing. This can also be referred to as opinion published on science issues and need to be edited by other professional groups.
Other types of opinion includes: legal opinion, judicial opinion and editorial opinion.
