How was the Mayan civilization superior to other civilizations of that time? (Examples: Aztecs, Incas and Olmecs) I know they discovered a lot about knowledge, but what else?

I don't like the expression "superior", but there is something that the Mayas did develop that the others did not: a script, with which all the sounds of their language could be written down!

a script is very important for the development of other aspects of culture.

Additionally, they had a very accurate calendar system.
