Find the distance between Raleigh and Detroit if they are 16 cm apart on a map with a scale of 3 cm : 160 miles. (round to the nearest tenth)

So if one cm is 160 miles and the distance we need to know is 16cm then you have to multiply 16 by 160.
This gives you the answer 2560 miles.
