Please use * to denote mult. here, not "x."  "x" is your variable and cannnot also be a symbol for mult.

f(x)g(x) = 3x^3 - 5x^2.

Now let x = 3:

(f*g)(3) = 3(3)^3 - 5(3)^2 = 81-45 =  36  (answer)
