According to early United States requirements for citizenship, it would be "iii. a white, landowning male farmer" who would have been considered a citizen, since women and minorities did not have voting rights.
III. A white, landowning male farmer
At first in the united states constitution, only white men could vote or be citizens, they needed to pay taxes and have a piece of land. Slaves or servants couldn´t be citizens, nor wives of wealthy merchants given the fact that they didn´t have land in the continental US.
