Postmortem decomposition involves a series of processes that occur after the death of the living organism. Putrefaction can be defined as changes that occur in the body of the organism specifically in animal or human in order to decompose it. It involves the discoloration of the body, release of gases hydrogen sulphide, ammonia and methane from the natural orifices causing foul odor, body parts become soft and loose. When the gaseous accumulation increases the body swells up this stage is called as bloated stage. The gases comes out of the body with a pop sound with the rupture of body tissues and fat. The eye balls comes out of the eye socket due to the internal pressure exerted by the gases.
