I'm not sure if it's one of your answer choices but I would say that the disadvantage would be disagreement. Since everyone has to make a decision together it's more than likely that someone will have a different idea and you guys will have to figure out which decision to go with. People will know what you want to do, and if they are your 'enemies' will try to use an action that can negate your prospect of attaining what you want
