1. The biggest possible benefit would be organ transplants. Through genetic engineering we can create organs for people who need transplants without waiting for donations, which would help to save lives.
2. The biggest potential problem is the moral construct of whether genetic engineering is right. Genetic engineering will face many issues in laws and as it advances to actually creating other life forms, will come into question whether it is morally just to create life and if that life has rights.
