Children are significantly affected by secondhand smoke. Children's bodies are still developing, and exposure to the poisons in secondhand smoke puts them at risk of severe respiratory diseases and can hinder the growth of their lungs.

Hey there!

Many don't know this but smoking not only affects the one with the cigarette but also many around them. It affects pets, other adults, children, babies, and the our natural habitat (Earth). It is a big cause of air pollution though many don't believe it is.

Smoking/Cigarettes have more than 7,000 chemicals that affect people in many ways, especially children. Hundreds of these chemicals are toxic. About 75 - 80 (chemicals) can cause cancer in both children and adults. Second hand smoke can cause very many problems in infants and children.

Ex) More frequent Asthma attacks (or Asthma itself), ear infections, respiratory infections, and in some most horrible cases SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

So, as we can see here Smoking not only affects people, but also pets, animals, babies, children, and even other adults.

I hope this helps you!
