The climates of the Peninsula and the East can be different. The Peninsula is directly affected by the wind because it's coming from the mainland. The East contains a more maritime type of climate.  The Malayan Peninsula gets about 100 inches of rain a year. The average temp is about 27 °C (80.6 °F).

Overall though, your climate for the Malayan Peninsula is a tropical climate.
