let  the  price  for  adult  be x , therefore price paid  by  student  would be   x-$2.25
   total  price  is equal to 230x+180(x-2.25)=$2260
         that  is  230x  +180x-405=2260
                    410x-405=2260
            like   terms  together
             410x=2260+405
              410x=2665
divide  both  side  by  410
x=$6.5  is the  price  of  an adult  ticket
