A. Whales and hippos are physically identical.
B. Whales and hippos share many genetic similarities.
C. Whales and hippos can interbreed to produce offspring.
D. Whales and hippos have not changed in the past 54 million years.

Respuesta :

I'd say B, the first is wrong because they look nothing alike third one is wrong because you just don't see that happening (obviously) choose B it's in the DNA if they according to D evolved from the same ancestor then they share genetics

Answer: B. Whales and hippos share many genetic similarities.

Explanation: While whales and hippos may in no way look alike, they actually do share some similarities at the genetic level which puts them as close relatives. In fact, data from DNA studies over the course of decades place hippos as the closest living relatives to whales. This is because they share many segments of DNA which was detected using genetic markers, indicating that at some point they all had a common ancestor. Hippos and whales also have a few common physical characteristics such as having minimal hair and living in water bodies.
