The last electron acceptor is the NADP. In oxygenic photosynthesis, the main electron giver would be water, making oxygen as a waste item. In anoxygenic photosynthesis different electron givers are utilized. Cytochrome b6f and ATP synthase cooperate to make ATP.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) or other name is triphosphopyridine nucleotide (TPN) is the final electron acceptor for electrons from photosystem. It is a cofactor which is used in anabolic reactions like synthesis of lipid and nucleic acids like DNA and RNA which needs NADPH as a reducing agent. NADPH is the reduced form of NADP+.
