When you draw the Lewis structure for ions, you simply have to draw the lewis dot structure of the neutral substance, then place a bracket one the outside and place the charge on the top right corner. The Lewis structure for oxide ion, O²⁻, is shown in the attached picture. There are 3 unpaired electrons.
