Differences between conventional and digital radiography
Traditional radiography is costly but digital radiography is comparatively cheaper in terms of processing, or processor repair and maintenance costs.
Digital image receptors are much more sensitive to low levels of radiation compared to film/screen, therefore digital radiography is more useful.
Digital radio graphic images can be zoomed but the conventional radiography does not have this option.
Imaging studies can easily be viewed in computer. They can be shared or transferred to different physicians via CD, USB or email if needed but conventional radiography can’t do this.
