Some events that led up to the conquest of Egypt:
1. Egypt declined at the end of the New Kingdom.
2. Nubians broke away from the Egyptians and formed their own Kingdom called, 'Kush.'
3. Kush becomes strong enough to take over Egypt.
4. In 750 BC the Kushite King Kasta starts to invade Egypt.
5. By 728 BC his son, Piye, completes the conquest of Egypt.
