This is based on the Social-Cognitive Theory by Bandura which has its roots in the works of Edwin B. Holt, Harold Chapman Brown, Neal E. Miller and John Dollard and holds that a part of knowledge acquisition is related to observing the behavior of the other members of the community and as a result can lead to a person to use that knowledge in navigating the society and future interactions with the said society.
