Weber rooted his book about the Protestant Ethic and how it related to capitalism in the people of Germany. His book noted how the ethic itself has its roots in the Reformation that took place a few centuries prior. Also, he uses the book to explore how religious ideas have an effect on the will to pursue work and profit.
