Colonists use the phrase given above to suggest that THEY SHOULD HAVE A VOTE ON TAXESÂ IN THE PARLIAMENT.
The colonists were not allowed by the British to be part of the parliament and the British expected them to abide by every policy that is made by the parliament. The colonists revolted against this during the period that their taxes were increased by British and they demanded that they want their own representatives to be members of the parliament that make decisions which concern them.
