Sikhism is a monotheistic religion because its fundamental beliefs include faith in only one God as creator.
Sikhs believe that God, though He is the Creator, is different and not part of the creation. They call him Waheguru; meaning wonderful Lord. They believe that God is timeless, sightless, and shapeless. He is present in everything and is found everywhere.
