standard trade-credit agreement is made between the seller and the buyer. according to that they will decide a period of time like one month ,two month etc. it will be based on their relationship,faith and credibility that seller has over the buyer. now i this case gary's lawn and garden should pay for the garden hoses in the particular time specified i the agreement.
