Imagine what it would be like to know you helped someone out for the better. Would you do it by giving up something you want? Personal-sacrifice helps make the world a better place, because it proves that you care for other people. It shows that you would be willing to give up something to help someone less fortunate. Helping someone less fortunate shows that you're caring, kind, and humble.
There are many people in the world that don't have a lot of money and go through lots of struggles. Sacrificing what you wanted to help someone can really show a lot about a person's character. For example, you may have wanted to have some free-time playing your favorite video game, but instead, you take the time to help a fellow classmate with their math homework. Doing that proves that you're not arrogant and you take the time to care for other people. If more people would sacrifice what they wanted in order to help people, the world would be a much better place.
