Checks and balances is a part or a system in the constitution which is very important because it has the ability or the authority to allow other branches of the government tho limit the powers of others. These three government are the executive,the judiciary and the legislature. For instance the president vetoed a law and legislature branch of the government has power to override that veto if it has enough votes. This ides of check and balances was raised by James Madison with the main purpose of limiting the powers of the government.
