a) $\frac{2 \frac{1}{4}}{ \frac{1}{2}}$
b)$\frac{1}{2}$ • 2 = 1
so $\frac{9}{4}$ • 2 = $\frac{9}{2}$ cups (which is $4 \frac{1}{2}$ )
