♡ Let’s look at the main important thing(s) that will lead you in the correct path.

What does notorious even mean? We need to know what we're working with before we begin so we can answer correctly! First off, notorious means infamous. This person is famous for something bad.

♡ Let's solve!

Do a little research! I have always adored the Revolutionary War and most importantly, one of America's most famous duels, the Burr-Hamilton duel.

You probably already know that they dueled. What you didn't know was that Burr won and killed one of the Founding Fathers. He was charged with murder.

That's not all, though.

Burr also attempted to commit treason. Although there is not enough proof for it, people say he tried to create his own "country" with Texas. He also tried to start another war with England and Mexico.

That's all I have for you, have a marvelous day.

Aaron Burr murdered Alexander Hamilton, a Founding Father.

Hamilton was a Federalist whilst Burr was a Republican.

Hamilton also turned the public against Burr while he was running for President of the US and governor of New York.

These men disagreed on many things and argued constantly. Burr challenged Hamilton to what would be the most famous duel in American history.

Burr never meant to murder Hamilton on purpose, duels were rarely fatal during that time. He was charged with murder and it was big news since Hamilton is one of the many Founding Fathers of America.

Some say Burr tried to commit treason, but was found innocent, as there was not enough proof.
