Cubism was an artistic movement that had as its leading exponents and pioneers Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque around 1907, although Cezanne used as early as 1901 multiple points of view in a single painting. Founded in the early twentieth century, Cubism is considered one of the most influential movements of this period. His works dealt with geometrically the forms of nature, so the representation of the visual universe had no obligation to its real forms, however they did not reach abstraction, because the images represented still remained figurative, that is, were still recognizable.
The cubists used diverse and changing views. Thus, when looking at a chair, for example, they represented it in the painting, from different angles: up, down, side or upside down. So these artists tried to capture all of these views on the same plane.
