Sam the Dog
Sally found her dog, Sam, alone on the side of the road, very hungry. Now, he is her constant companion. Spending even one day away from Sam saddens Sally.
This past Sunday, Sam did not seem to be himself. His whole body sagged when he walked, he slept for hours, and he did not eat much. Sally was worried and wondered if she should take him to the animal hospital, but she knew that she would be charged four times the regular weekday price. Even though it would be a financial burden, Sally decided to take him anyway.
