Politics favored the
decline of Great Zimbabwe, due to its wars with neighboring countries,
to which many tributes were demanded; and while they waged wars that spent many resources, their own internal disputes and civil wars weakened the government. With
a weak government, there were fights for the succession of rulers,
which led to a rebellion against their king, and along with the
overpopulation of people (between 1450 and 1500, there were 18,000
inhabitants within the kingdom) in a small area for Then, the Great Zimbabwe was losing its greatness.
