The answer should be B. To teach a lesson about teamwork and determination.

The paragraph is basically about even though the team had a lot of challenges and difficulties but they still didn't give up and won. So it's not about anything like negative aspects of sports or to criticize anything

A and D can automatically be eliminated since at no point does the author say anything negative in the story. B and C are left, but seeing how the story talks about working together and not giving up, B should be the answer.
