The nurse need to keep a check on sign and symptoms of infection( fever, tachypnea, tachycardia) sign and symptoms of hypovolemia (hypotension, tachycardia).  Also keep a greater check on heart burning during the meal as it is one of the main causes of peptic ulcer during a meal or during the night time. In addition to this she need to perform the lab test needed that is H.pylori (most important) others include CBC, aPTT, INR.

Medication should be on time. The nurse also need to refer endoscopy if needed. Along with this inform the patient about nutritional changes needed and motivate to change lifestyle if the patient has an unhealthy routine.
